We are thrilled to share the success of our recent Pre-Loved Kids Event that took place on the 6th of October! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we received an overwhelming amount of donations in the weeks leading up to the event, including a wide range of clothes, toys, books, and equipment.

The event was a lively, bustling day, with people waiting at the door as soon as we opened. Our team of seven dedicated volunteers—led by myself and our amazing junior volunteer, Carson—worked tirelessly to set up and run the event, ensuring that everything ran smoothly. And let’s not forget the delicious cakes (kindly donated by Dorset Crafts & Treats) that were available for purchase, adding a sweet touch to the day! Bargain hunters eagerly rummaged through the stock, finding some fantastic deals on pre-loved items while supporting a great cause.

After covering the event costs, we are proud to announce that we raised an incredible £581.81! This money will go towards funding holiday activities for SEND kids, helping to ensure that children who can’t normally access mainstream activities have opportunities for fun, inclusive experiences.

The event was such a success that we’re already planning to make it a regular fixture in our calendar, with the next pre-loved kids event set for spring. We couldn’t have done it without the support of our donors, shoppers, volunteers, and the community, and we’re excited to see this initiative grow!
